Cross walk. Pastors, leaders, men, women.... Have your children, spouse and household witnessed you confess sin and tell God you were wrong and HE was right, thanking HIM for HIS mercy, grace, forgiveness and love found in CHRIST? If not all we have taught them is how to be a haughty Pharisee. When we walk towards the Cross, no man can boast, save of Christ alone!
"If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. Indeed, none of you should suffer as a murderer or thief or wrongdoer, or even as a meddler (busybody). But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but glorify God that you bear this name. For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who disobey the gospel of God?" I Peter 4:14-17
Therefore, since Christ suffered in His body, arm yourselves with the same resolve, because anyone who has suffered in his body is done with sin. Consequently, he does not live out his remaining time on earth for human passions, but for the will of God. For you have spent enough time in the past carrying out the same desires as the pagans: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and detestable idolatry. Because of this, they consider it strange of you not to plunge with them into the same flood of reckless indiscretion, and they heap abuse on you. But they will have to [...]
“He that loveth father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after Me, is not worthy of Me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” Matthew 10:37-39
“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, [...]
Blessing or cursing, which will it be? Gratitude or griping? Lift up the Cross and have an victorious Advocate fighting for me who has overcome the world or lift up myself , defending, contending and justifying losing every battle. Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
Anything that God allows to bring us to a place of greater humility is a blessing and shows His lovingkindness. “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6
“They preached the gospel to that city and made many disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch, strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith. “We must endure many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” Acts 14:21-22
Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.” He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The Lord shall hold them in derision. Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure: “Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion.” “I will declare the decree: The Lord has said to [...]
